Look Through & See ThroughPosted by Mike Cash (Kiryu, Japan) on 9 February 2010 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio. I went up to the top of Mount Akagi on the night of what was the closest (brightest) full moon of 2010 to take some more night photos of the shrine up there.....and had solid cloud cover. I finally gave up and on the way back home I came across the small rural park which has the faux windmill posted a couple of days ago. I walked out to the far end of the park and found an observation tower and decided to take a few photos of the night time skyline from it. I couldn't resist the temptation to get into the photos myself. Unfortunately, I had left all my flash equipment back in the car and the only light source I had with me was a small pocket flashlight. I set the exposure to the city lights. I set the self-timer, got myself into position and briefly lit myself with the flashlight. I then jumped out of the frame and used the flashlight to paint the coin-operated binoculars so they would show up too. Pentax K20D
