Yes, the elephant. Our one and only at Kiryu Zoo, which has to be one of the lamest and most pathetic zoos in any modern nation. No, I didn't take this one at work, but even truck drivers get a day off every now and then.

A magnificent creature. Although Zoos are often heartbreaking sights for me to be honest. Ive taken the kids to the Kyoto one a few times at their bequest. Finley captured Mike, it somehow exudes a sad nobility, as if he knows he deserves a lot better than a concrete and steel world.

@Duncan Galbraith: A wide shot showing the enclosure in which she lives out her solitary life would make you weep. As I'm sure you know, elephants are very social animals and being alone must be more torturous than being in that small concrete enclosure.
