I can't make head nor tail of this, but I like its symmetry and tone. What's the cultural significance?

@Sidonie: The stickers are in an area which several years ago sported Obey Giant stickers. There were also briefly some "Gary Coleman has a Posse" stickers in the area. Those were both some seriously under-the-radar subculture icons, as I understand it.
The stickers in this photo seem to borrow from both of the above-mentioned items, and interestingly are posted in pairs, just as Japanese election campaign posters tend to be (for some reason known but to God).
Interesting, surreal image.
