The Obvious from Murfreesboro, TN, United StatesThis is beautiful processing. That's my first impression. Second impression - I don't know if you noticed it or did it on purpose - but there is a somewhat straight line on the right vertical part of the field, and also one (two) on the left side of the town (tree and small building in the back). Any comments about that? 13 Jun 2007 3:16pm @The Obvious: Greetings, my Tennessee homeboy! (long dislocated Humboldt native here). The one on the right could be some sort of broadcast tower. There is a heliport in that general vicinity. Or it and the others may all be overlooked specks of dust from when I scanned the negative. ColNed Pictures from Amersfoort, NetherlandsI love the work you did on this one !!! 13 Jun 2007 6:57pm @ColNed Pictures: Thank you very much. That's very kind of you. @Reza: Thank you. The reason it got processed like that is that the sky looked awful in color and the grain looked awful in black and white. So I decided to mix the parts that looked acceptable. Rob from United StatesO beautiful for spacious skies, O beautiful for pilgrim feet O beautiful for heroes proved O beautiful for patriot dream O beautiful for halcyon skies, O beautiful for pilgrims feet, O beautiful for glory-tale O beautiful for patriot dream 14 Jun 2007 1:48am @Rob: Betcha had to Google that. These amber waves of grain are in Maebashi, Gunma Pref., Japan. We have majestic purple mountains all around here too. |
