Rack 'Em UpPosted by Mike Cash (Kiryu, Japan) on 10 May 2008 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio. A partial view of a largish facility for parking trailers used for hauling intermodal containers. Land of any kind is at a premium in Japan in general and Tokyo in particular. Space to park one trailer on the ground near the Ooi Wharf area currently runs around $550/month (and I suspect there is some government subsidizing going on there). With this tinker-toy nightmare, drivers just pull one off the bottom or put one in the bottom and raise it up a notch. Pentax K100D
