Do love the colours and contrast you're getting on these shots; great compositions as well. Is Lightroom still your friend?

@Dan: Yes, it is my dear friend and I really have to thank you personally for pushing me toward it. It is impossible to calculate the time and effort it has saved me, especially on large jobs like the dance recital, rehearsal, and backstage photography. It came to 14 hours of shooting over two days and yielded 890 photos to be gone through. Attempting the task with The Gimp (which I still love) would take forever. Lightroom greatly speeds and eases the both the workflow and the workload.
And I have to thank you for turning me on to composing/cropping paying attention to the diagonals and where they hit on elements in the photo. I have to say it has made a world of difference, and Lightroom greatly facilitates that as well. It is a principle that I make active and conscientious use of on each and every shot.

Glad it worked out, and I agree about the 'diagonal method': the guy that noticed and documented that should win some sort of prize. BTW, Congratuations on your promotion to staff cameraman; you may be able to leave the cab of that truck one of these days.
