名草弁天巌島神社 IVPosted by Mike Cash (Kiryu, Japan) on 11 March 2009 in Landscape & Rural. The mountain where the shrine is located is just absolutely loaded with iron pyrite, better known as Fool's Gold. Careful examination of the ground will show flecks of it scattered everywhere. The eddies of the mountain's streams collect very noticeable amounts of pyrite sediment. Anyone who didn't know the difference between real gold and pyrite would go nuts at this place. 1973 Pentax Spotmatic ESII
