Mr. LeMans

Posted by Mike Cash (Kiryu, Japan) on 28 April 2009 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

Formula One driver Yojiro Terada, who holds the record for most appearances in the 24 hour race at LeMans (29 times), using his cell phone to snap a photo of a hand-built one-of-a-kind authentic replica of one of the cars he drove in the 1970s.

Taken at a closed to the public event held in Tokyo where a slot car building/racing club invited 1970s Formula One drivers to get together and race each other in 1/24 scale. I was fortunate enough to be the only person invited in for the specific purpose of photographing the event, except for a few professional magazine photographers.
