Takumar Pilgrimage VI

Posted by Mike Cash (Kiryu, Japan) on 31 December 2011 in Documentary & Street.

Photos from a pilgrimage to the tomb of Takuma Kajiwara, for whom the legendary series of Takumar lenses were named.

Lightly etched and hard to read stone in what appears to be Kanbun (Classical Chinese composition). I didn't examine it closely but I suspect it is part of a Buddhist sutra.

Last photo of this Saturday series.
