The rusted and peeling sign above what has rapidly become a disappearing sight in Japan: the neighborhood Mom-N-Pop diner. Murdered by fast food chains and the convenience stores which cover Japan like kudzu covers Georgia.
To much oxydation... Nice shoot

@Ho Ka-Wai: Thank you.
Really nice colour saturation. So many run-down old traditional shopping streets around; either dead or dying.

@Daroru: I could have as easily called the photo "Corpse" or "Murdered". I remember a Japan without fast food chains, family restaurants, and convenience stores on every corner....a time when these mom-n-pop "shokudo" diners were common places for grabbing an informal meal. Japan has sold its soul for convenience. I must admit that I enhanced the color saturation to bring out the color of the rust.
Nice shot Mike!

@Alfredo J. Martiz J.: Thank you, Alfredo.
So sad...just like the states, hard to find a real local eatery with great food, drink and most of all atmosphere!!
Nice shot Mike, the saturation really shows the rust and the age of the sign!
(nice comparison with the Kudzu and Georgia, I'm surprised you can find the state in the summer : D )
