Kimono and Dirt

Posted by
Mike Cash (Kiryu, Japan) on 7 April 2009 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio.

A kimono-clad woman walking along Tokyo's Kan-nana passes in front of the entrance to a business specializing in the buying and selling of dirt. That is some of their wares you see stacked up in the background. The thick steel plates on the ground are to prevent dump trucks from tearing up the ground as they enter and exit.
