Wash Day

Posted by
Mike Cash (Kiryu, Japan) on 13 February 2011 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

At the Watarase Valley Line's Omama Station I happened across a group of men, women, and children lovingly hand-washing one of the railroad cars. They spent quite a long time at it, giving it a thorough going over, including the windows.

Then.....

As soon as they got through they pulled the train out and ran it through the gigantic automatic train wash at the station.

I have long said that the day this place starts to make sense to you is the day you should leave. Running across scenes like this saves me the trouble of calling the movers.
